Who is my Neighbour? (Lk 10:29)

Is the one who is living in the neighbourhood? Are my relatives and friends my neighbours? One may think that the idols in sports and games or in music and film are ones neighbours. Perhaps they are all our neighbours; and to love them is indeed easy.

Ist es mein Nachbar? Sind es meine Verwandten meine Bekannten - oder gar ein Idol im Sport, im Spiel, in der Musik, im Film ..? All diese sind auch unsere Nächsten - und es ist eigentlich ganz einfach sie zu lieben.

It was a sprint. A world-famous athlete was the favourite for the gold. The race began. The track burned. Still only 100 meter more. He was about to break the world record. Exactly at the point, he has a muscle spasm in his leg. It was a terrible fall on the track.

Es war ein Sprint. Da war ein weltberühmter Athlet ein sicherer Favorit zum Gold. Das Rennen hat begonnen. Die Bahn brennt. Nur noch 100 Meter. Wie erwartet war der Favorit sehr weit vorne, als würde er den Weltrekord brechen.

Mit großer Liebe kümmert sich Jesus um seine Jünger: "Die Jünger sahen am Boden ein Kohlenfeuer worauf Jesus Fisch und Brot legte. Jesus sagte zu ihnen: ‚Bringt mir von den Fischen, die ihr gerade gefangen habt’." (Jn 21:9-10).  Jesus versteht die schwere Lage seiner Jünger: „Als es schon Morgen wurde, stand Jesus am Ufer.

With great concern Jesus attended to the needs of his disciples: “When they had gone ashore, they saw a charcoal fire there, with fish on it, and bread. Jesus said to them, ‘Bring some of the fish that you have just caught’.” (Jn 21:9-10).  Earlier Jesus know the difficult situation of his disciples: "Just after daybreak, Jesus stood on the beach; but the disciples did not know that it was Jesus.

Umkehren ist Positiv!

Umkehren!         Von welcher Richtung umkehren und wohin gehen? „Kehrt um! Denn das Himmelreich ist nahe“ (Mt 4:17): Die erste öffentliche Rede, die Verkündigung, von Jesus Christus. Nehmen wir mal an: Wir haben uns im Blumenladen eine wunderschön blühende  Sonnenblume  im Topf gekauft.

Convert from? to? “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.”(Mt 4:17): the first public speech, of Jesus Christ.  For decoration a woman cut a beautiful sunflower from the garden and with joy placed it in the living room in a vase.
